At House of Mercy, we recognise that nutrition is fundamental to a child’s ability to learn, grow, and thrive. The Nourish to Flourish – Daily Meals Program ensures that every child at the House of Mercy Education Centre receives consistent, nutritious meals, removing hunger as a barrier to education and wellbeing.
Daily Nutritious Meals
Children enrolled in our education centre receive fresh, balanced meals each day, designed to meet their dietary needs and support healthy physical and cognitive development. Meals are carefully planned to provide essential nutrients that sustain energy levels, improve concentration, and promote overall health.
By providing daily meals, the program alleviates food insecurity for vulnerable families and ensures children can focus fully on their learning.
Supporting Learning and Attendance
Hunger significantly impacts school attendance and academic performance. Through the Nourish to Flourish program, we have seen improved school attendance, engagement, and classroom participation.
When children know they will receive a meal at school, families are more likely to send them consistently—creating a stable learning routine and better educational outcomes.
Health, Growth, and Wellbeing
Nutrition plays a critical role in childhood development. Regular meals help reduce the risks of malnutrition, fatigue, and illness, supporting healthy growth and stronger immune systems.
Where needed, children are monitored for signs of undernutrition, and additional dietary support is provided in coordination with caregivers and health partners.

Community and Caregiver Involvement
The program works closely with families and the wider community to promote nutritional awareness and healthy eating practices. Caregivers are encouraged to engage in discussions around food security, hygiene, and child wellbeing, strengthening the impact beyond the classroom.
Sustainable Impact
Nourish to Flourish is designed to be sustainable and community-supported. Through donor partnerships, local sourcing where possible, and efficient program management, House of Mercy ensures that meals are delivered consistently and responsibly.
This program is not just about feeding children today—it is about investing in healthier, more resilient futures.
