House of Mercy Education Centre – Baidoa, Somalia
House of Mercy Education Centre is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive space for orphans and vulnerable children in Baidoa, Somalia. Currently, we are operating out of a rented space that limits our ability to expand activities and resources for the children we serve. With your support, we can build a permanent centre that not only offers educational programs but also becomes a true community hub for nourishment, growth, and opportunity.
Project Goal: $70,000
Our goal is to raise $70,000 to purchase land and construct a dedicated centre for orphans in Baidoa. This new facility will enable us to provide a full range of educational, recreational, and support activities, ensuring these children have a stable foundation on which to build their futures.
What the New Centre Will Offer
- Expanded Classroom Facilities
With a larger, permanent space, we can accommodate more children and create dedicated areas for different age groups and learning levels, ensuring personalised, quality education for each child. - Recreational Spaces
Physical and recreational activities are crucial for children’s development. Our new centre will include outdoor play areas and indoor spaces for sports, art, and other activities that foster creativity and healthy social interactions. - Resource Centre and Library
A library stocked with books, learning materials, and computers will provide students with access to resources they might not otherwise have, encouraging independent learning and growth. - Onsite Kitchen and Dining Area
With a permanent facility, we can establish an onsite kitchen to prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals daily, ensuring the children have access to reliable nourishment. - Health and Counselling Services
The new centre will include dedicated spaces for health check-ups and counselling, supporting the emotional and physical wellbeing of each child in a safe and caring environment.
Why We Need Your Support
Currently, our rented space limits the number of children we can support and the services we can offer. A permanent centre would mean we can fully commit to creating a nurturing environment without the constraints of rental costs and limitations. Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward building a safe, stable space for these children, helping to secure a brighter future for them and for Baidoa.
